Aspasia Dukas
Compounding Manager and Proprietor
Aspasia graduated from Monash University, Parkville with a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2010. She gained extensive experience in several compounding pharmacies throughout Victoria before she founded and opened her own pharmacy at 22 years of age, on High Street Armadale in Melbourne. The pharmacy has been in operation for 12 years and is now one of the largest compounding pharmacies and cannabis dispensaries in Australia, with over 40 team members.
In their onsite laboratory, Dukasa hand makes custom medications for patients, including capsules, nasal sprays, creams, oral liquids, gummies, sublingual strips and medicated chocolate. Medicines are made for multiple disciplines including dermatology, paediatrics, pain, anti-ageing, cannabinoid, cosmetic and general medicine.
Aspasia also practices as a consultant and has worked with global companies such as La Roche Posay, publicly listed ASX companies and has collaborated on Research and Clinical Trial projects with major universities around Australia such as Monash University and University of Western Australia.
Aspasia specialises in formulating, developing, bench testing and compounding medicines that are Australian-firsts, and inspires generations of pharmacists around Australia to be innovative in their approach to practising pharmacy.
When Aspasia is not working, she enjoys practicing yoga, skiing, travelling and spending time with her children.
